As I rinsed my empty coffee cup, for the seventh time today, I happened to spy a tiny, nearly imperceptible spider who looked elated. He couldnt contain the excitement - his shaking legs sent ripples through the fine threads of the web with each eager step.
I poured number eight and somewhere around the center of the silken sahara, a plump gnat was going down for the third time. Congratulations tiny spider, I thought to myself.
I've always liked spiders, they live a decent life.
As I was walking away from the sink, I heard a small voice say (clear as day, mind-you),"Mike! Can you believe it? I got him! I caught old 2-ton!"
I spun around clockwise, of course, to see if my eyes would agree with my ears on this one (Whenever I spin, I do it clockwise, it's my favorite - counterclockwise...never really cared for it). Anyway, the moment I reached 180 degrees, my coffee cup smashed against the wall, in an instant I was left with a lonely handle gripped tightly between the first three fingers of my right hand and a highly insulted right leg.

The Human Word-Association Test...
A bit of research that'd be interesting:
Theory: When white americans aged 40 or younger are asked about the origin of a made-up quote, most will answer in the "entertainment" category.
Have the reaserchers recite a made-up line ala "Men are doubtful for one reason, fear."
Now ask various groups such as different religions, income levels, gender, race, age, Country: "Where do you belive that line came from (literature, television, movie, song, etc.)."
Have a look at the answers and observe.

Just for fun...
The first question will be just for fun:
"If a human being were subjected to the same pain that "The Incredible Hulk" feels when he gets a leg cramp, would it kill him?"
Yah i know kinda stupid but can only get better now :p
Peace, Rev. Mike

New Idea...
K, so I started a blog like 17 gazillion other people (it's almost shameful). Anyway, my original plan was to write about a ton of different things. Meh, it's overdone already.
So, I decided to come up with some potentially interesting questions and let you post the argument or comment on either side of the issue at hand (still overdone, yet more interesting). Of course i'll be sure to throw in my $0.02 often.
The first question is coming up, stay tuned...
Peace, Rev. Mike

In the Beginning...
Some basic background:
43 yrs
Male
Race: white
Married (16 Years - first marriage)/Straight
2 Children
Unemployed - on SS Disability at the moment (i wont discuss this now, the reason(s) will become apparent as you read this shit :=)
Politics: will also become clear as i write
Religion: was raised Roman Catholic, but since i started to think ive realized that i dont have enough data yet, although, im not an agnostic. i do believe in some sort of creative force (call it what you will) that set this all in motion.
I stopped believing in "God" for several years, until i realized how empty and alone i felt. So, ive since reconsidered the idea and have come to the conclusion i stated above.
All indicators show that the Universe, and the stuff it contains, follow predictable "rules" or laws. Counter that fact with the idea of a universe with no laws, sort of a "Brownian-motion soup" where everything moves at random. In this version of the Universe there is no bonding of nuclei, no repulsion of electrons, no current flow, no free will, no creativity, and no repeatable or observable experience because the dice are always rolling.
To me, our "real" Universe sounds like it contains a bit of intent (creation).
Pet peaves - actually 2 injustices that im growing tired of - these need to be fixed NOW:
Same-sex marriage: legalize it everywhere. this blatant discrimination is unfathomable in this day and age. To all of you anti-gay asswipes: "Gay happens - get over it".
Medical Marijuana: Again legalize it everywhere and pull the DEA jerkoffs out of Cali pronto. See this movie for actual footage of what these puppets are doing to innocent Californians:
Super High Me
im a bit cranky atm, dont take this first post as a portent of what's to come - stay with me...
And So, Obama wins...
I'm certain that im not alone when i say that one of my wildest dreams came true on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 when Barack Obama became the first person with a darker shade of skin to become President of the United States.
I've never been prouder or more hopeful in my life that the Govt might just be able to help when theyre needed. I almost feel a bit patriotic.
Dare i dream?
same sex marriage
medical mj
balanced budget
start no wars
get our current servicepeople back home safely
national healthcare
severe penalties to companies that move jobs overseas
balanced trade
get tough on human rights in China (and everywhere else) - diplomacy and sanctions only - no bombs, k?
put Art back into our schools
eliminate homelessness in the USA - (i know, a long shot)
...and more!!!
Heh, im getting tired - bbl
